Follow up and supervise
The Director of the Central Library at the University of Technology, Assist. Prof. Ziad Qasim Habib, member of the Ministerial Committee for Follow-up and Supervision of Libraries in Private Colleges and Universities. On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the Committee visited the library of the University College of Fundamentals of Religion. The Ministerial Committee was briefed on the work procedures and developments in the library’s work, beneficiary services, and the library’s website. The number of existing university theses and the number of sources and periodicals that were received by the library during this year through personal donations and purchases from reputable publishing houses
Scientific visit
Among the activities of the Central Library, it received on Monday, April 22, 2024, students and professors of the Electromechanical Engineering Department - Oil and Gas Equipment Engineering Branch (first stage) on a scientific visit to the Central Library with the department’s professors: Assist.lecturer. Lamia Hussein Assi, Assist.lecturer. Ibtihaj Hadi Mahmoud, Assist.lecturer. Hawraa Juma Hashem, where they were received by the official of the Technical Procedures Division, Ikhlas Asliwa, and she accompanied them through the corridors of the central library.
The Central Library celebrates its members on International Women's Day
Under the patronage of the Honorable President of the University of Technology, a celebration was held on the occasion of International Women’s Day in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit, where the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, honored 108 distinguished female members of the University of Technology, including the members of the Central Library: Senior Accounts Manager. Among the activities of the Central Library, it received on Sunday, April 21, 2024, students and professors of the Control and Systems Engineering Department (first stage) on a scientific visit to the Central Library with the department’s professors: Prof. Dr. Amer Qais Obaid, Prof. Sirwan Walid Girgis, lecturer. Nour Qasim, Assist. lecturer Karim, Ali Hussein, Assist. lecturer. Rawaa Refaat Khalil, Prof.lecturer. Qamar Qasim Muhammad, where they were received by the official of the Technical Procedures Division, Ikhlas Asliwa, and she accompanied them inside the corridors of the central library. Assist. lecturer. Rand Zuhair Khalil provided a comprehensive and practical explanation of the method. Searching and accessing scientific sources according to the library management system (Koha) currently approved in the central library and the libraries of the University of Technology departments.
