A scientific visit from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering to the corridors of the Central Library
As part of the activities of the Central Library, on Monday 2/12/2024, it received students and professors of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering - Electromechanical Systems Engineering Branch (first stage) on a scientific visit to the Central Library with the department professors: represented by the course (Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Moneim Raad Abdul Moneim) and the lecturers (Assistant Professor Dr. Adnan Gharib Taama, Assistant Professor Hiba Ali Najm, and Assistant Professor Ibtihaj Hadi Hammoud)
The visit aims to introduce students to the Central Library, its working mechanism, and how to benefit from the services provided by the library to students.
Due to the great role that the Central Library provides in all scientific sources, the method of obtaining sources was explained according to the modern systems available in the library and according to the contexts followed for borrowing and returning sources.

As part of the activities of the Central Library, on Wednesday 4/12/2024, students and professors of the Department of Electromechanical Engineering - Energy Engineering Branch (first stage) were received on a scientific visit to the Central Library with the department professors: (Assistant Professor Ali Abdul Wahab, Assistant Professor Aseel Jassim, Assistant Professor Iyad Kazem, Assistant Professor Hadiya Kazem, Assistant Professor Ahmed Kamel Hassan, Assistant Professor Zainab Bashir, Assistant Professor Hashemiya Sharad, Assistant Professor Hoda Adel).

The Central Library holds a seminar entitled "Ethics of Professional Behavior between Concept and Application"
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, and the supervision of the Director of the Central Library (Assistant Professor Dr. Ziad Qasim Habib), the Central Library held a seminar entitled "Ethics of Professional Behavior between Concept and Application" in the Cultural Forum Hall and in cooperation with the University Presidency/Member of the Women's Affairs Unit on Thursday 5/12/2024, which was presented by the lecturer (Assistant Professor Dr. Farah Ghanem Saleh) from the Department of Arabic Language/College of Education for Girls/University of Baghdad.
At the end of the seminar, the Central Library awarded a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer expressing her thanks and appreciation for the useful and valuable information provided.
On this occasion, the Central Library announces its readiness to hold all activities in the halls of the Central Library, wishing everyone success and success.

The Central Library holds the first cultural festival for the academic year 2024-2025
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, and the supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, the Central Library at the University of Technology held the first cultural festival for the academic year 2024-2025 dedicated to reading in the halls of the Central Library (Cultural Forum Hall).
The participation was wide for the competing students from various departments of the university, which numbered (72) through the participation of each student with one book in which he competed with the rest of the participants, and the books dealt with many scientific, cultural, novelistic and fictional topics, which won the admiration of the attendees.
The competition ended with the participating students voting for the top 3 winners in terms of distinguished recitation, namely: the first place winner: Hiba Ammar Hussein Muhammad from the Department of Applied Sciences - Third Stage for the book The Joy of Being Twenty, the second place winner: Narjes Ali Taher Hussein from the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering - First Stage for the book Magdolin, and the third place winner: Malak Ali Maktouf Taher from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering - Third Stage for the book Artificial Intelligence.
The attendees expressed their joy at the distinguished organization of the Central Library staff under the supervision of the Director of the Central Library and Head of the Festival Organizing Committee (Assistant Professor Ziad Qasim Habib) and the committee members: (Assis.Lecturer Rand Zuhair Khalil), (Kalthoum Juma Ali), (Janan Muhammad Aliwi).
It is worth noting that the library allocated valuable cash prizes for the first three winners, certificates of appreciation, and a letter of thanks and appreciation distributed by the Director of the Central Library.
