Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, and the supervision of the Director of the(Assistant Professor Dr. Ziad Qasim Habib), the Central Library held a seminar entitled "The Importance of Literacy for the Individual and Society" in the Cultural Forum Hall and in cooperation with the University Presidency/Member of the Women's Affairs Unit on Sunday 16/2/2025, which was delivered by: (Assistant Professor Dr. Alia Abdul-Ridha Abbas) and (Assistant Professor Farah Falih Hassan),

At the end of the seminar, the Central Library awarded a certificate of appreciation to the lecturers

اقامة ورشة عمل بعنوان "استخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي في الفهرسة والتصنيف"
برعاية السيد رئيس الجامعة التكنولوجية (الاستاذ الدكتور احمد محمد حسن الغبان) المحترم
وبأشراف السيدة مساعد رئيس الجامعة للشؤون العلمية (الاستاذ الدكتور خولة صلاح خشان) المحترمة والسيد مدير المكتبة المركزية (أ.م.د زياد قاسم حبيب) المحترم
اقامت المكتبة المركزية ورشة عمل بعنوان "استخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي في الفهرسة والتصنيف" على قاعة الملتقى الثقافي ليوم الاثنين الموافق 10/2/2024 والتي القاها كل من التدريسيين: (م.م هدير مثنى محمدسعيد، م.م نور عبد الاله احمد) من المكتبة المركزية.
ناقشت الورشة شرح تطبيقي عن استخدامات تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي واهمها تطبيق ( ChatGPT ) في الفهرسة والتصنيف وعن اهمية دور الذكاء الاصطناعي في جميع مجالات الحياة.
وفي نهاية الورشة اثنى السيد مدير المكتبة المركزية على السادة المحاضرين.

Holding a workshop entitled "Using Artificial Intelligence in Indexing and Classification"
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology (Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghaban) and under the supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs (Prof. Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan) and the Director of the Central Library (Assistant Professor Dr. Ziad Qasim Habib)
The Central Library held a workshop entitled "Using Artificial Intelligence in Indexing and Classification" in the Cultural Forum Hall on Monday 2/10/2024, which was delivered by the following lecturers: (Assistant Professor Hadeer Muthanna Muhammad Saeed, Assistant Professor Nour Abdul-Ilah Ahmed) from the Central Library.
The workshop discussed an applied explanation of the uses of artificial intelligence applications, the most important of which is the application (ChatGPT) in indexing and classification and the importance of the role of artificial intelligence in all areas of life.
At the end of the workshop, the Director of the Central Library praised the lecturers.

زيارة علمية من قسم هندسة السيطرة والنظم الى اروقة المكتبة المركزية
زيارة علمية من قسم هندسة السيطرة والنظم الى اروقة المكتبة المركزية
من ضمن نشاطات المكتبة المركزية، استقبلت يوم الاثنين المصادف 16/12/2024 طلبة واساتذة قسم هندسة السيطرة والنظم- فرع هندسة الميكاترونكس والانسان الالي (المرحلة الاولى) في زيارة علمية للمكتبة المركزية مع اساتذة القسم كل من: (م.د قمر قاسم محمد، م. نور قاسم يوسف، م.د علياء عبد الرضا عباس).
تهدف الزيارة إلى تعريف الطلبة على المكتبة المركزية وآلية عملها وكيفية الاستفادة من الخدمات التي تقدمها المكتبة للطلبة.
وللدور الكبير الذي تقدمه المكتبة المركزية من المصادر العلمية كافة تم توضيح طريقة آلية الحصول على المصادر وفق النظم الحديثة المتاحة في المكتبة وحسب السياقات المتبعة لأستعارة وارجاع المصادر.

A scientific visit from the Department of Control and Systems Engineering to the corridors of the Central Library
As part of the activities of the Central Library, on Monday 16/12/2024, students and professors of the Department of Control and Systems Engineering - Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering Branch (first stage) were received on a scientific visit to the Central Library with the department professors: (Assistant Professor Qamar Qasim Muhammad, Assistant Professor Nour Qasim Youssef, Assistant Professor Alia Abdul Redha Abbas).
The visit aims to introduce students to the Central Library, its working mechanism, and how to benefit from the services provided by the library to students.
Due to the great role that the Central Library provides in all scientific sources, the method of obtaining sources was explained according to the modern systems available in the library and according to the contexts followed for borrowing and returning sources.
